Ubaid Nasir has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Lead Legal for Smelters at Vedanta Group since August 2021, with previous roles including Associate Manager and Assistant Manager in Legal, as well as a Trainee. Ubaid has also gained experience as a Judicial Clerk for Hon’ble Justice Tashi Rabstan at the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and has completed multiple legal internships with esteemed organizations including Phoenix Legal, Karanjawala & Company, Chambers of Sr. Adv. Salman Khurshid, Amnesty International India, DSK Legal, and L&L Partners. Ubaid began legal training as a Judicial Clerk under the Hon'ble Principal District & Sessions Judge and gained additional experience interning at the Office of the Joint Director Prosecution. Ubaid holds a Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LLB) from the University of Kashmir and a Company Secretary degree from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
