Alexander Gallego is the Founder and CEO of Redpanda Data, where innovations include a Kafka? replacement that is faster, API compatible, and easy to use without requiring Zookeeper? or JVM. Prior to this role, Alexander served as Principal Software Engineer at Akamai Technologies, focusing on dynamic scheduling and next-gen virtualization with Kubernetes. As Founder and CTO of Concord Systems, Inc., Alexander designed and built concord.io, which is now part of Akamai. Early career experiences include positions as a Software Engineer and founding team member at YieldMo, as well as software engineering roles at FactSet Research Systems and Forex Capital Markets. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
