Daniel Hidru is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in computer science and related fields. Currently serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at both The Hospital for Sick Children and Vector Institute since January 2018, Daniel has also supported students as an Academic Don at the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College from August 2019 to April 2020, and as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Computer Science from January 2018 to August 2019. Earlier research experience includes significant contributions to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Responder DREAM Challenge, achieving top scores with innovative predictive models. Daniel's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science, along with an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto. Additionally, prior work as a Technical Assistant at Gambro involved ensuring the safety of dialysis machines in Toronto hospitals.
