Willem Dijkstra is an experienced data scientist and thermal system architect currently employed at VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG) since December 2014. Prior to this role, Willem served as a technical specialist at Mecal from May 2008 to December 2014, focusing on the simulation and analysis of thermal, structural, and mechanical performance of high precision products. Willem's academic background includes a PhD in Scientific Computing and Applied Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology, where research involved investigating the condition number of matrices in the Boundary Element Method and developing a 3D simulation for blowing glass bottles. Willem also holds a post-master's degree in Mathematics for Industry and a master's degree in Technische Wiskunde, both from Eindhoven University of Technology.
