Ansgar Hinz serves as the CEO of VDE Renewables GmbH since November 2023 and has held the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO at VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. since April 2016. In addition, Ansgar Hinz is the CEO of VDE Prüf- und Zertifizierungsinstitut GmbH, a role held since November 2019, and has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors at RETC and VDE Americas since June 2021 and June 2016, respectively. Previous roles include leadership positions at VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH and various executive positions at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen from 2008 to 2016. Ansgar Hinz holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and has received further education from FernUniversität in Hagen and Deutsche Bundesbahn.
