Kaeli Zimmermann has a diverse work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Kaeli is currently working as the Medical Science Lead at Vayamed since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Project Manager/Clinical Assessor at the Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte from October 2020 to December 2021. In 2020, Kaeli also served as a Medical/Regulatory Affairs Manager at Fette Pharma GmbH, where they advised on sales and medical marketing strategy and implemented quality and regulatory requirements. Before that, they held multiple positions at Cannamedical® Pharma GmbH, including Head of Medical Affairs and Medical Advisor. In these roles, they focused on building efficient structures, tracking research advancements, and providing scientific advising. Kaeli started their career as a Doctoral Researcher at the University Clinic Bonn, where they conducted clinical research projects related to cannabis use disorder. Kaeli also gained research experience through internships at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

Kaeli Zimmermann holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience from the University of Cologne, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Kaeli then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Neuroscience at The University of Bonn from 2012 to 2014. Kaeli continued their education at the University of Düsseldorf, where they completed their Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat. / PhD) in Neuroscience from 2015 to 2018.
