Xuan Bui has extensive work experience in scientific research and development. Xuan is currently working at Vaxxas as a Senior Preclinical/Analytical Scientist. Prior to that, they worked at The University of Queensland and Australian Red Cross Lifeblood as a Research Fellow and Project Manager from May 2017 to May 2022. Xuan also served as a Senior Research Development Scientist at National Innovation Centre, Australian Technology Park from August 2015 to May 2017. Xuan Bui has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Osaka University from May 2012 to August 2015 and as a PhD student at the Technical University of Denmark from October 2008 to April 2012. Xuan started their career as a Research Assistant at Pohang University of Science and Technology from August 2007 to September 2008.

Xuan Bui pursued their education in the field of Molecular Microbiology, starting with a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they enrolled in Pohang University of Science and Technology for their Master's Degree in Molecular Biology, which they obtained between 2005 and 2007. To further enhance their knowledge and expertise, Xuan Bui then attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2008 to 2012, where they successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Microbiology.
