Kim Gundersen is an experienced mining professional with a robust background in underground mining management and engineering. Currently serving as Mining Manager - Underground at Vault Minerals since January 2018, Kim oversees operations at the Darlot Gold Mine and manages various teams to ensure efficient production. Prior roles include Alternate Underground Manager at Westgold Resources, where responsibilities spanned multiple historic gold sites, and positions at Newcrest Mining, where management of contractors valued at over $150 million per annum was crucial. Kim's extensive career also includes engineering roles at GOLD FIELDS and Barrick Gold Corporation, along with foundational experience as a Graduate Mining Engineer at Macmahon. Academically, Kim holds a Masters of Science in Mineral Economics from Curtin Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from Curtin University of Technology.
