Jonas Funkquist is a Senior Research Engineer at Vattenfall, where expertise lies in dynamic modeling, process optimization, and control of thermal power plants since February 2007. Previously, as a Consultant at ÅF AB from January 2000 to February 2007, Jonas Funkquist focused on climate control algorithms for radio base stations, train traffic simulation systems, and public transport traffic information systems. Concurrently, roles at AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik mirrored responsibilities at ÅF. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Research Engineer at the Swedish Pulp and Paper Research Institute from September 1995 to January 2000, specializing in model development and system identification in the pulp and paper industry. Additionally, Jonas Funkquist contributed to education as a part-time Lecturer in automatic control engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology from January 1990 to December 1997.
