Melissa Freitas has extensive experience in the dairy industry, currently serving as the Western Team Leader-Farm Performance Consultant at VAS since October 2011. Their role involves leading a team dedicated to enhancing farm performance, while also previously providing support as a DairyComp 305 Support Specialist. Melissa is the owner and a certified milk tester at Freitas Milk Testing, bringing over 30 years of expertise and certification as a California DHIA Field Technician and Tru-Test Meter Technician. Additionally, Melissa contributed as a Milk Analyst for ADM Laboratories in 2011. Educated with a Bachelor of Dairy Science in Management and Production from Eastern New Mexico University, earned between 2007 and 2011, Melissa Freitas has a solid foundation in dairy-related knowledge and skills.
