Kethika Kulleperuma has been a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto since September 2009, focusing on atomic level details of the protein "Hv1" under the supervision of Dr. Régis Pomès. Kethika has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Biochemistry I, conducting weekly tutorials for 200 students since 2013, and as a member of a winning team in a start-up centered on a novel nano-technology fabric treatment. Additionally, Kethika has worked as a Research Mentor at The Hospital for Sick Children, guiding students in biochemical theories and programming, while holding multiple roles at SL2College to enhance access to higher education in Sri Lanka. Kethika is a Science Writer for The Varsity and has contributed to fundraising efforts for Hemoglobal, a charity focused on improving children's health in Asia. Education includes a Master’s Degree in Biology from Adelphi University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Colombo.
