Mahesh Abeyratne currently serves as the Managing Director for Variosystems Asia Pacific, with previous roles including Supply Chain Manager, Manager - Project Management & Logistics, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Engineer. Since joining Variosystems in May 2016, Mahesh has focused on managing international and local customer accounts while engaging in business development through sector communication and participation in industrial events. Prior to this, Mahesh gained experience as an Engineering Trainee with the Sri Lanka Air Force, specializing in aircraft maintenance. Mahesh holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (2018 - 2019) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (2012 - 2015), complemented by academic grounding at S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela (1998 - 2011).
