Avik Mitra has extensive experience in the textile industry, currently serving as the Maintenance HOD at Vardhman Textiles since January 2023, where responsibilities include designing maintenance schedules and organizing routine servicing. Previously, Avik worked as Assistant Maintenance Manager at Vardhman Yarns & Threads Ltd. from August 2014 to July 2019, playing a key role in conducting machine health audits across sister units. Early roles included Senior Maintenance Executive at Anant Spinning Mills, where Avik managed various textile technologies and participated in the erection of a new unit, and Program Developer focusing on slub yarn production and process settings. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Textile Technology from West Bengal University of Technology and prior studies in Science at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College and Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission.
