Berkley is President and Chief Operating Officer of W. R. Berkley Corporation.He previously served as the company’s Executive Vice President and has held positions in Strategic Planning, the International Division and Domestic Business. Before joining W. R. Berkley Corporation in 1997, he worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch & Company. Rob Berkley is a Director of W. R. Berkley Corporation; W. R. Berkley Corporation Charitable Foundation; Interlaken Capital, Inc.; and Connecticut Community Bank, N.A. subsidiary.

In addition, he serves on the Georgetown University Business School Board, Greenwich Hospital Board of Advisors and the Yale New Haven Health System Investment Committee. He is a graduate of Georgetown University.
