Maikel Duchateau has extensive experience in maintenance and engineering management, currently serving as Group Manager of Maintenance Excellence at Vandersanden since May 2008, overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of a major production site with advanced automated lines. Prior to this role, Maikel worked as a Maintenance Planner at Norbord NV, where responsibilities included daily and weekly maintenance scheduling, and as an R&D Validation Engineer at Hansen Transmissions, focusing on gearbox testing for wind turbines. Maikel holds a Master's degree in Electromechanics from Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg, an additional course in Ceramics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, and previously pursued a Master's in Engineering at KU Leuven.
