Shan Meltzer is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University since September 2024, with prior experience as an HHMI Hanna Gray Fellow at Harvard Medical School from October 2017 to July 2024, where a focus on touch circuit development was established in Dr. David Ginty's lab. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MS) in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco (2012 - September 2017), a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics and Development from Columbia University (2010 - 2011), and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences and Philosophy from Peking University (2006 - 2010; 2007 - 2010).
