Soham Saraf is currently a Patient Transporter and Laboratory Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where the focus is on researching mechanisms regulating the plasticity of alpha cells in the pancreatic islet under the supervision of Dr. Danielle Dean. Prior experience includes serving as a Laboratory Research Assistant in the Choi Lab at Washington University School of Medicine, concentrating on inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, and working at the Kast Lab at the same institution. Soham also gained experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walmart and completed an online internship at the Origanti Lab through the UMSL STARS Program. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Health, and Society, and English, with a minor in Data Science from Vanderbilt University, as well as a High School Diploma from Marquette Sr. High School. Soham participated in the Missouri Scholars Academy in 2020.
