Maxwell Stevenson serves as the Director of the Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Learning at Vancouver Island University since March 2017, overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the Centre. Prior to this role, Maxwell held the position of Associate Director, where responsibilities included managing daily operations and staff projects. Before joining Vancouver Island University, Maxwell worked at the University of Essex from October 2005 to February 2017, taking on multiple roles, including Learning and Development Manager for educational development and projects, as well as Learning and Development Advisor in Teaching and Research. Maxwell holds a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, alongside various degrees from the University of Essex and University of Victoria, including a PhD in History and Theory of City Planning.
