Karen Verhoeven has been an Engineering Manager within the Offshore Sustainability Team at Van Oord since April 2002, where responsibilities include managing the Sustainability Fund and executing sustainability initiatives focused on process optimization and emissions reduction. Prior roles at Van Oord encompass engineering management of significant projects such as the Golfinho LNG Development in Mozambique, Yunlin Offshore wind farm in Taiwan, and the Nord Stream 2 Russian landfall. Additionally, Karen has served as Proposal Manager and Lead Engineer on various offshore projects, contributing extensive experience in pipeline installation and project management. Karen's academic background includes a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Karen also embarked on two sabbaticals for cultural exploration and personal development during career progression.
