Olaf Starken is a seasoned professional in packaging innovation and management with extensive experience in senior roles across various reputable companies. Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Van Genechten Packaging since January 2025, Olaf previously held multiple vice president positions at Stora Enso from June 2019 to December 2024, focusing on strategic packaging innovation and development. Olaf's career includes significant leadership as Managing Director at pacproject and Head of Innovation at Mayr-Melnhof Packaging. Earlier roles include Packaging Development Manager at MMP Behrens and Packaging Engineer at Lindt & Sprüngli Germany. Olaf holds an International Executive Program degree from the Stockholm School of Economics and a Packaging Engineer degree from TFH Berlin, complemented by an apprenticeship as a packaging technologist.
