Ed Rees is a seasoned leader in the technology sector, currently serving as the Google Cloud Director for EMEA at Valtech since October 2024, following Valtech's acquisition of Kin+Carta. Prior to this, Ed held the role of Director for Google Cloud in Europe at Kin+Carta from September 2021 to November 2024, where responsibilities included expanding the Google Cloud partnership and developing the related practice. From September 2014 to September 2021, Ed was an Associate Director in Business Consulting at Grant Thornton UK LLP, directing global digital transformation initiatives and partnering with tech companies. Earlier experience includes various management roles as a Royal Navy Officer from November 2008 to November 2014, encompassing operations and intelligence management. Ed holds a Bachelor's degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford and completed the Oxford Strategic Innovation Programme at Saïd Business School in 2020.
