Deane Barker is an experienced professional in digital experience consulting and content management, currently serving as Vice-President of Digital Experience Consulting at Valtech since July 2024. Barker has been an Instructor of Content Management at FH Joanneum since January 2016, teaching an "Introduction to Content Management" course. Previously, Barker held the role of Global Director of Content Management at Optimizely from August 2019 to July 2024, contributing to thought leadership and product strategy. As a co-founder of Blend Interactive, Barker spent over 14 years in various roles, focusing on content management, industry analysis, and client consulting. Barker's career began at NAI Sioux Falls Commercial as Information Systems Director and at BANKFIRST as Developer and Intranet Development Manager. Deane Barker holds a B.A. in Government and International Affairs from Augustana University.
