Tobias Jäkel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Tobias started their career in 2007 as a Project/Event Manager and Student Assistant at Technische Universität Dresden. Tobias then worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at Brown University in 2015. Following this, Tobias became a Research Associate and later a PhD student at Technische Universität Dresden, specializing in database models and research. In 2017, they joined Technische Universität Chemnitz as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on setting up a Big Data Lab and project management. In 2019, they worked as a Big Data & AI Expert at coraixx GmbH & Co. KGaA, where they were involved in system architecture and enhancement. Currently, Tobias is working at Valtech Mobility GmbH, starting as Requirements Engineer & Solution Architect and later taking on roles such as Team Lead, Project Owner, and Product Manager & Product Owner. Their responsibilities include managing teams, overseeing projects, and representing the product team for car-focused solutions.

Tobias Jäkel holds a Doctorate in Computer Science (Dr.-Ing.) from the Technische Universität Dresden, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Diplom in Business Informatics from the same institution between 2005 and 2011. Tobias earned their Abitur from Paul-Fahlisch-Gymnasium Lübbenau from 1998 to 2005.
