Edita Janušienė has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Edita has held various roles in different organizations, primarily in the field of finance and taxation.
Edita began their career in 1987 as a Specialist in the Financial Department of Siauliai district. From there, they progressed to become a Chief Inspector at the State Tax Inspectorate of Siauliai district.
In 1999, Edita joined the State Tax Inspectorate as a Specialist in the Inspections Department. Shortly after, they became the Head of the Department of Personal Business Audit at the State Tax Inspectorate of Siauliai County.
In 2000, they moved to Lietuvos Respublikos finansų ministerija as the Deputy Head of Tax Administration Department. Edita then returned to the State Tax Inspectorate in 2002 as the Head of Tax Analysis Division and later served as the Head of the Control Department.
Edita'scareer continued to progress as they joined the National Audit Office of Lithuania in 2007. There, they served as the Deputy Director of the 6th Audit Unit before being promoted to Deputy Director of the 1st Audit Unit in 2011.
In 2013, Edita joined Lietuvos bankas / Bank of Lithuania as the Head of the Internal Audit Unit. In this role, they were responsible for assessing the internal control, risk management, and governance of the Bank of Lithuania during audits. Edita also provided consulting services to improve the organization's activities.
Currently, Edita holds the position of Head of State Tax Inspectorate of Lithuania, which they assumed in 2017.
Throughout their career, Edita has made significant contributions to the organizations they have worked for, implementing changes in strategic planning, risk management, business continuity, and personnel management.
Edita Janušienė obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Planning from Vilnius University in 1992.
