Elise Nilles has a diverse work experience history spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Cashier at Fry's Food and Drug before transitioning to the role of Welcome Center Representative at Valley of the Sun YMCA in 2015. In 2016, Elise took on the position of Legislative Intern at The City of Buckeye and also worked as a Receptionist at Coulter Nissan. Elise then returned to Valley of the Sun YMCA in 2017 as the Membership Experience Director & Youth and Government Leader. Over the years, Elise held various roles within the organization, including Director of Teen Programs and Senior Program Director of Civic Engagement and Youth Leadership. Currently, they serve as the Associate Executive Director of Civic Engagement Collaborative at Valley of the Sun YMCA, a role they have held since 2023.
Elise Nilles has a diverse educational background. Elise obtained a certification in YMCA from the YMCA Leadership Academy Valley of the Sun YMCA in 2018. Prior to that, they attended Arizona State University from 2014 to 2016 and studied political science with a focus on legislative affairs. From 2013 to 2014, Elise attended Glendale Community College, where they engaged in political science and government studies. Before that, they attended Rio Salado College from 2010 to 2013, also pursuing political science and government studies. Elise completed their high school education at Paradise Honors High School from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Elise has obtained certifications in Shuttle Bus Driving from Valley of the Sun YMCA in February 2018, as well as Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the same institution in August 2017.
