James Yeung has a diverse work experience in the fields of trading and technology. James co-founded and worked as a partner at Valkyrie Trading since November 2011. Prior to that, they were a derivatives trader at TransMarket Group from December 2010 to May 2011. James also worked as an algorithmic trader at Henning & Carey Proprietary Trading from August 2010 to November 2010, and as a part-time software engineer at the same company from January 2010 to June 2010. James also gained experience as a technology intern at Mizuho Capital Markets in July 2009 and as an electronic options trading support co-op at Susquehanna International Group from June 2008 to December 2008. Additionally, they worked as a systems administrator co-op at Susquehanna International Group from March 2007 to September 2007. To start their career, James served as a residential network consultant at Northwestern University from May 2006 to April 2007.

James Yeung completed their education with an International Baccalaureate degree in a Bilingual Diploma from the International School of Beijing, from 1999 to 2005. James then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, James went on to earn a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University, from 2009 to 2010.
