Austin Gadient has a diverse range of work experience in the cybersecurity field. Austin is currently the CTO and Co-Founder of Vali Cyber since October 2022. Additionally, they are an Official Member of Forbes Technology Council, where they write about cybersecurity topics. Austin is also a Cohost for the ROP Lobsters Podcast, which focuses on current events in cybersecurity and involves interviewing industry experts.
Prior to these roles, Austin worked in the United States Air Force, starting in 2014 as a Student at the United States Air Force Academy. Austin graduated as the top graduate from the School of Engineering for the class of 2018 and served as the Director of Operations for Squadron 20.
After graduating, Austin held various positions within the Air Force, including Chief Ground Systems Engineer and Chief Software Security Engineer. In these roles, they managed teams and developed secure software architectures for satellites, presented program deliverables to Air Force leadership, and researched advanced topics in cybersecurity strategy, policy, and law.
In addition to their Air Force experience, Austin worked as a Software Engineer at Kessel Run, where they developed a Spring Boot application that handled millions of API requests per day. Austin also served as a Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they designed a system for automatic generation of exploits as part of the DARPA HACCS program.
Overall, Austin Gadient has demonstrated expertise and leadership in cybersecurity through their work experience in both the military and civilian sectors.

From 2018 to 2020, Austin attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
In 2020-2021, they attended Galvanize Inc and pursued Full Stack Development, although they did not obtain a degree.
Between 2014 and 2018, Austin studied at the United States Air Force Academy and received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
Their high school education was completed at Western Albemarle High School from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a High School diploma.
