Mena Safwat Dawood is a seasoned Chief Software Architect at Valeo since July 2016, specializing in software updates and Over The Air (OTA) technologies. Mena's expertise includes developing communication protocols using IPsec and Linux Containers, contributing to four publications in reputable journals and conferences, and filing a patent in Germany. Mena has also trained over 150 engineers across multiple branches and institutions. Previous roles at Valeo include Senior Security Architect, SW Update Product Owner, and Bootloader Software Design Leader, focusing on secure boot and ECU security features for various OEMs. Prior experience includes serving as a Reserve Officer and Junior Communication Engineer in the Egyptian Armed Forces, working on radar systems. Mena holds a Master’s degree in Information Security and Cryptography from Nile University, a Higher National Diploma in Embedded Systems from ITI, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Assiut University.
