Varsha Koduvayur is an experienced analyst with a strong background in research focused on the Gulf region and Middle Eastern geopolitics. Since August 2021, Varsha has served as an Analyst II at Valens Global while concurrently holding the position of Senior Research Analyst at the Foundation For Defense of Democracies since January 2018. Prior research roles include a position as a Researcher at Eurasia Group, focusing on the Gulf Cooperation Council and North African countries, and a Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where Varsha investigated topics such as sectarianism and regional megatrends. Academic experience includes a role as Diversity & Global Change Intern at the Center for Gender in Global Context, where Varsha contributed to gender-related publications and managed events, as well as a Paralegal position at McGinty Immigration, which involved extensive research on immigration law. Varsha possesses a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University, with focuses in Comparative Cultures and Politics and Arabic.
