Swandi Manurung is a seasoned mining engineering professional with extensive experience across various roles in prominent mining companies. Currently serving as Mining Engineering Manager and Principal Mine Planning Engineer at Vale since July 2021, Swandi has previously held significant positions at Newcrest Mining as a Senior Mine Design and Planning Engineer, where involvement included the Red Chris Block Cave Prefeasibility Study. Swandi's expertise encompasses underground mining operations, including block cave production scheduling and life of mine planning, gained through roles at St Barbara Limited and Northern Star Resources Limited, among others. Earlier experiences at Rio Tinto and Freeport-McMoRan contributed to proficiency in feasibility and pre-feasibility studies, ventilation modeling, and production forecasting. Swandi holds a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
