Flávio Thimotio Silva is a highly experienced technology and engineering professional with a strong background in geotechnologies and automation within the mining and industrial sectors. Currently serving as Gerente Geral de Tecnologia - Soluções de Geotecnologia at Vale since December 2019, Flávio has ensured the governance of geotechnical assets and their technological adequacy. Prior roles include leading technology compliance for dam monitoring, managing regional automation services, and heading process engineering and automation departments at Samarco Mineração. Flávio’s expertise extends to emergency planning and response, highlighted by significant contributions to environmental emergency management at Fundação Renova. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and ongoing postgraduate studies in Philosophy at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
