Alonso Vallejo is an experienced professional in asset management and operational reliability, currently serving as Superintendent of Reliability for Vale since November 2022, where responsibilities include the implementation of reliability strategies for fixed and mobile assets. Previous roles at Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. encompassed Chief Mine Maintenance, where Alonso focused on achieving zero lost time incidents and optimizing asset availability, and Senior Maintenance Planner, emphasizing performance metrics during major shutdowns. Additional expertise includes supervisory positions in maintenance at Barrick Gold Corporation and experience in health and safety management with The Adecco Group. Alonso holds a Master’s in Asset Management & Operational Reliability from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, along with various certifications in reliability and maintenance.
