Rorick Terlou is a Data Science Junior Specialist at Valcon since November 2023, specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Previous experience includes a position as a Machine Learning Intern at Amberscript, where Rorick developed models for disfluency detection and removal while completing a master's thesis. At Underlined, Rorick worked as an NLP Engineer, focusing on enhancing Text Mining models for customer service insights, with particular emphasis on sentiment analysis and topic modeling. Earlier roles include teaching physical education at Pieter Nieuwland College and regaining movement knowledge through sports therapy assistance at Reade. Rorick holds degrees in Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam and has a background in physical education from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
