Shawn Passwater is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the manufacturing and design sectors. Currently serving as an Engineering Service Specialist and Tech Supervisor at Vactor Manufacturing since March 2017, Shawn provides leadership to Engineering Technicians and oversees engineering prototype bays while addressing programming and technical issues for production trucks. Prior to this role, Shawn spent over 27 years at Caterpillar Inc., where responsibilities included serving as Senior Designer and Platform Lead for product Link cell and satellite telemetric radios, as well as developing three-phase power inverter modules. Additionally, early career experience includes working as an Electronic Technician at Interlake Steel Inc. from 1985 to 1989, focusing on the development and testing of Automatic Guide Vehicles. Shawn holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technician from Illinois Valley Community College.
