Naorem Nihesh, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and research. Naorem is currently employed as a Scientist I (Chemistry) at Vaccitech since June 2022. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Chicago from September 2016 to May 2022, where they obtained their Ph.D. degree. Naorem also worked as a Master Thesis Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from July 2014 to July 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Summer Intern at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in June 2015.

Naorem Nihesh, Ph.D., pursued an education in the field of Molecular Engineering. From 2011 to 2014, Nihesh attended St. Stephen's College in Delhi, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Naorem then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 2014 to 2016. Finally, Nihesh completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Engineering from the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago between 2016 and 2021.
