Norman Kamanga is a seasoned Senior Drilling Engineer and consultant with extensive experience in offshore drilling operations, primarily in West Africa. Currently serving as a Senior Drilling Engineer at VAALCO Energy, Inc. since September 2018, Norman focuses on engineering, planning, and executing drilling activities. Previously, Norman held roles at SUPER Enterprise LLC as Principal Consultant and Owner, and at The Global Edge Consultants as Senior Drilling Engineering Consultant. Norman's background includes significant positions at ConocoPhillips and Statoil, where responsibilities encompassed both technical support and project management for deep-water drilling operations in locations such as the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, and offshore Senegal. Earlier in the career, Norman gained valuable technical expertise at Schlumberger and SCI Systems, developing a strong foundation in drilling engineering and quality assurance. Norman holds a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from South Dakota Mines.
