Melanie Van Cauwenberghe is an experienced Genetic Counselor currently working at UZA since December 2020. Prior roles include Conseillère en génétique at Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc and Wetenschappelijk medewerker voor de NIPT at UZ Brussel. Melanie also has a background as a (Junior) Project Manager at CMAST, where responsibilities included leading various projects focused on real-world data in hematology and compliance. Internships at the University of Oslo and Ghent University contributed to expertise in T cell activation in multiple sclerosis and targeted genome editing, respectively. Melanie holds a Postgraduate degree in Genetic Counseling and a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Ghent University, along with a Bachelor's degree in the same field.
