Liesbeth van Bergen is a prominent surgical consultant specializing in abdominal and pediatric surgery, currently serving as a staff member in abdominal and digestive surgery at H. Hartziekenhuis Mol and as a consultant at UZA since September 2022. Liesbeth's expertise includes complex abdominal wall surgery, colorectal and bariatric surgery, and robotic surgery, with a rich background as a fellow in various esteemed institutions. Liesbeth holds master's degrees in General Medicine and Surgical Practice from the University of Antwerp and is actively involved as a board member for the Belgian Section for Abdominal Wall Surgery, serving as General Secretary and local organizer for Belgian Hernia Day.
