Joe Davis Velchev is an FWO scholarship awarded PhD candidate at Research Foundation Flanders, with ongoing experience at UZA's Center of Medical Genetics since October 2018. In September 2023, Joe completed a research collaboration at the University of Cambridge under Prof. Sanjay Sinha. Prior experience includes a role as a Junior Researcher at VIB from March to September 2018. Joe's educational background includes a Doctorate in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Antwerp, and Master's degrees in Neuroscience and Genetic and Cellular Engineering from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology.
