Melissa Ooms is a medical professional with extensive training in surgery, currently serving as a Fellow in Colorectal Surgery at UZ Gent since October 2022. Ooms previously held the position of Specialist in Training in Surgery at Curaçao Medical Center from October 2021 to October 2022 and gained additional surgical experience at AZ Maria Middelares from October 2019 to September 2021, as well as AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende AV from August 2017 to September 2019. Ooms earned a Master's degree in Logopedic Sciences from Ghent University, completing studies from 2006 to 2010, and continued education at the same institution from 2006 to 2017.
