Jens Czapla is a highly experienced cardiac surgeon currently positioned at UZ Gent since September 2018. Prior experience includes serving as MD of Cardiac Surgery at UZ Brussel from September 2010 to August 2018 and as MD in Cardio-thoracic Surgery at AZ Maastricht from September 2009 to August 2010. Jens Czapla's surgical training began as a Resident in Cardiac Surgery at UZ Brussel from September 2001 to August 2009 and encompasses a wide range of medical expertise, including abdominal, trauma, intensive care, vascular, thoracic, and orthopedic surgery, as well as plastic surgery. Jens Czapla holds an MD in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, obtained between 1993 and 2001, and completed secondary education at Winkler Prins from 1986 to 1992.
