Auriel Folkes has an extensive work experience in finance. Starting in 2006 as a consultant for LTN, Folkes then moved to MessageLabs in 2005 as VP Finance. In 2007, Folkes took on the role of VP Finance International for Seven Networks. In 2008, Folkes became Group Finance Director for Amtech and returned to LTN as a Consultant. In 2010, Folkes took on the role of Finance Director for Content and Code. From 2013 to 2015, Folkes served as Interim Finance Director for Abacus e-Media and Vice President Finance for LoopMe. Currently, Folkes is Part Time CFO for Utonomy Ltd, a company that helps gas network operators achieve their decarbonisation, digitalisation and decentralisation goals.

Auriel Folkes obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History from the University of St Andrews between 1977 and 1981. Subsequently, they became a Fellow of the Australian Institute and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History from 1987 to 2013. Additionally, they were certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW).
