Chatchawin Assanasen is an accomplished medical professional currently serving as the Associate Chief Medical Officer for UTHP Ambulatory Services and a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio. With a distinguished role as the Children's Cancer Research Institute Distinguished Chair in Pediatric Oncology, Chatchawin also holds positions as Interim Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Services and Associate Chair for Outreach in the Department of Pediatrics. Previously, Chatchawin was the Medical Director of the South Texas Pediatric Blood and Cancer Center at University Health System and has held faculty positions at Florida State University and served as a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Nemours. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, a Medical Doctor degree from St. George's University, and completed a Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Florida.
