Anoop M. Nambiar, MD, MS, is a distinguished Professor of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, where significant contributions include serving as the Founding Director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program and the ILD Clinic. With a robust background in lung health, Anoop also holds the position of Center Director at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center and co-director of the Pulmonary Function Testing Lab and Home Oxygen Services at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. Additionally, Anoop has been the Medical Director for the San Antonio Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group since 2012 and actively participated as Deputy Chair and Board Member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB)-1 from 2013 to 2022. Anoop Nambiar's educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation and Translational Science from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rutgers University.
