Gabriel Banda currently serves as the Vice President External for the UT Austin chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, overseeing national and regional affairs. Previous roles include Treasurer, where Gabriel managed finances and led the fundraising committee. Gabriel has completed internships as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on enabling new features for the Edge browser, and at Dell Technologies, working on regression testing automation for microservices. Additionally, participation in the Above & Beyond Computer Science program at Meta provided exposure to advanced technical training. Gabriel's early experience includes an internship at the Brownsville Public Utilities Board, enhancing SCADA system security. Gabriel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin.
