John E Rael is an experienced healthcare leader currently serving as the Director of the Office of Resource Access and Partnerships at the Indian Health Service since December 2018. With a long-standing commitment to public health, John has been a CAPT in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since December 2001. Previously, John held the position of CEO at the Albuquerque Indian Health Center from December 2014 to December 2018 and served as a Medical Service Corps Officer and Corpsman in the US Navy from April 1993 until December 2001. John holds a Master of Business Administration from New Mexico State University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University, and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Campbell University.
