Jared Rispens

Medical Officer at USPHS Commissioned Corps

Jared Rispens is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as a Flight Surgeon and Senior Medical Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard since May 2020, while also holding the position of Medical Officer with the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since June 2019. Rispens previously gained valuable experience as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from July 2018 to June 2020 and completed an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency at Rush University Medical Center from July 2014 to June 2018, where involvement in infectious diseases research and leadership as Vice President of the House Staff Association was notable. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Psychology, and Pre-Medicine from Calvin University, and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Spring Hill College. Additionally, Rispens demonstrated leadership skills as the Student Body President at Calvin College from May 2008 to May 2009.
