Matice Wright-Springer is ManTech’s Vice President of Government and Corporate Responsibility, leading the company’s congressional outreach and monitoring enterprisewide risks. Her congressional outreach efforts include developing and implementing plans that identify key policy areas, decision-makers, legislative staff members, and industry partners vital to advancing ManTech’s national security agenda. She monitors corporate risks and the mitigations used to properly manage and reduce the impact of business risks. She also leads ManTech’s community services efforts and the development of a new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy that aligns with ManTech’s 2023 strategic goals.
Mrs. Wright-Springer’s career began as a Naval Flight Officer with VQ-3, where she completed flight hours in both the EC-130 Hercules and the E-6 Mercury aircraft. After serving in the military, she was appointed by the President of the United States to serve as a White House Fellow. She was also appointed to serve in the Senior Executive Service, where she led the Secretary of Defense’s Office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy.
Her private industry experience includes work as a business analyst on large information technology programs with SRA International, a sales manager of military helicopters with Sikorsky, a senior associate and program manager with Booz Allen Hamilton, and as a vice president of strategy with Exelis.
Mrs. Wright-Springer is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where she earned a B.S. in physical sciences with a minor in general engineering. She has an MPA from Harvard University and an MBA with a finance concentration from Johns Hopkins University.
She currently serves as a special committee co-chair of the Naval Academy Alumni Association. She served on the Naval Academy’s Board of Visitors from 2015 to 2019, and on Virginia’s Veterans Services Foundation from 2014 to 2020. Mrs. Wright-Springer is recognized as the nation’s first African American female Naval Flight Officer and she enjoys being a mentor. She also enjoys playing tennis and the alto saxophone.
