A native of Rogers, Arkansas, John-Rex graduated from the United States Naval Academy and received his commission in the Navy in 2013.

While at the Naval Academy, he was a member of the Sprint Football team and elected Class President.

John-Rex is currently a MH-60S Pilot with HSC-22 in Norfolk, Virginia, while continuing to serve as 2013 Class President and 2010’s Decade Representative.
