Mya Maanika is a Project Engineer at USG since June 2019, specializing in managing capital projects from inception through execution, overseeing safety model programs, and coordinating contractor activities during maintenance. Prior to this role, Mya served as Dining Services Student Manager at Michigan Technological University from September 2014 to May 2019, where responsibilities included updating work procedures and training new employees while improving risk and waste management using LEAN principles. Additionally, Mya gained experience as a Process Engineering Cooperative Education Student at Georgia-Pacific LLC in 2017, optimizing processes and collaborating with technicians and vendors to address equipment issues. Mya holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, earned in 2019.
